New restaurant for Islington mall

CBRE Global Investors has signed a lease with chef, James Cochran, to launch a new restaurant at Angel Central, Islington. Located on the scheme’s Upper Street entrance, the 2,111-sq ft restaurant is due to launch later this summer.

Angel Central will be the brand's first North London location, following the opening of its debut site at Bevis Marks EC3 last year. The Islington branch will serve 60 covers inside and a further 20 covers on the terrace.

Laura Wilson-Brown, director at CBRE Global Investors, said: “The signing of a talented chef like James Cochran cements our vision of creating a great retail and dining destination that complements the vibrancy, dynamism and quality of Islington. We have no doubt his superb food will be greatly received by locals and shoppers alike, from day through to evening, using the al fresco terrace overlooking the scheme.”

The 150,000-sq ft Angel Central is anchored by H&M, and also includes Gap, French Connection, Rituals, Monsoon and Oasis, with the latter recently completing a significant refurbishment. In addition, Vue’s ten-screen cinema and the O2 Academy lead the leisure offer, which is complemented by a range of restaurants, such as Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Wagamama.

BNP Paribas and CBRE represented Angel Central.
