Boots is to open in the £40 million Clydebuilt shopping park in Port Glasgow.

The High Street giant will occupy a 5,100-sq ft purpose built unit between anchor tenants Marks & Spencer and Next, in the second phase of the park. It has secured the unit on a 15-year lease at £22.00 per sq ft.

All three stores are expected to open in Autumn and will join the growing line up of retailers which includes B&Q, Aldi, TK Maxx, B&M, B&Q and Tesco Extra.

The retail park is the final piece of the jigsaw in the overall regeneration of the Port Glasgow waterfront and town centre which started over 20 years ago. Clydebuilt shopping park will trade alongside a Tesco Extra and Marston’s family pub.

Alastair Dickie, development director developer Ediston Real Estate, said: “Boots’ decision to come to the park is a fantastic boost and testament to the quality of the development, which is one of the first major new retail parks to have been developed in Scotland since 2008.”

Cushman & Wakefield and Coates & Co acted for Ediston.
