Annual food sampling event is back with Levi Roots

The annual Eat Street food event will return on 3rd and 4th June at Festival Place, Basingstoke, with live cooking demonstrations and samples from food and beverage retailers including Nando’s, Las Iguanas, Wagamama, Festival Street Kitchen, Yobu and Whittards.

Rastafarian musician, entrepreneur and Reggae Reggae Sauce creator, Levi Roots, whose career was launched via TV show Dragons’ Den, will take centre stage with live food demonstrations on both days.

Festival Place marketing manager, Charlotte Ranger, said: “This will be the fifth time we have run our Eat Street event and we are looking forward to welcoming Levi Roots to be part of the occasion as he brings some authentic Caribbean flavour to Festival Place. It’s also a great opportunity for our shoppers to enjoy samples from a number of our restaurants and cafés so that they can plan a visit to their new favourite the next time they come and shop.”
