Discounter to open new 22,800-sq ft store at Frenchgate shopping centre, Doncaster
The Frenchgate Limited Partnership has signed international discount designer store, TK Maxx to open in early summer.
This news follows the recent signing for New Look Men, which recently launched a 3,500-sq ft store. In the past 12 months, Frenchgate has seen 20 new store openings and refits including Topshop and JD Sports, which upsized to an 8,500-sq ft store taking almost three times its original unit. This is in addition to the new H&M fit out taking place this year.
The leasing activity comes as part of a £7m redevelopment within the centre, constituting over 100,000 sq ft and approximately £4million of retailer investment in store fit outs.
Paul Devlin of The Frenchgate Limited Partnership, said: “The ongoing development of the centre has generated interest from numerous leading brands along with traders continuing to report strong sales figures. In addition, Yours has signed a ten-year lease extension and committed to a complete store refit.”
Rawstron Johnson and Time Retail acted for Frenchgate, which is managed by Lambert Smith Hampton’s Belfast office.
