Fit out starts at Roaring Meg’s Debenhams store

Debenhams started working to fit out its new flagship store at a Stevenage retail and leisure park this week. The 100,000-sq ft store received planning permission from Stevenage Borough Council in April 2014 and construction of the two-storey Debenhams store, which is due to open at Roaring Meg Retail and Leisure in summer 2017, is complete

Phil Huby of landlord Aberdeen Asset Management said it is excellent to see the Debenhams development moving forward. “The introduction of Debenhams is a massive project for Roaring Meg Retail and Leisure,” he said. “Once the fit out of the flagship store is complete and ready to open, we will look forward to introducing a whole set of new retailers to Roaring Meg shoppers within Debenhams as well as an enhancement of our food and beverage options.”
