Latest deal confirms repositioning of Newtonards scheme
Belfast Office Properties has signed Starbucks for a 2,550-sq ft unit at Ards shopping centre in Newtownards, Northern Ireland.
The unit will be the globally recognised brand’s first coffee shop in Newtownards and comes as part of a £7m redevelopment within the centre, which has seen a 40,000-sq ft unit split into three to accommodate Starbucks, TK Maxx and B&M Bargains.
Also joining Ards is mobile phone accessory retailer, TopGift, taking a 280-sq ft unit, opening in early March.
Paul Devlin of Belfast Office Properties said: “We are delighted to have signed Starbucks and welcome another international brand to Ards and further grow our F&B offer. Starbucks signing signals a strong start to 2017, which follows an exceptional 2016, and Ards continues to develop and maintain its position as the region’s strongest performing shopping destination.”
Lambert Smith Hampton manages the centre.
