Further growth at Straiton retail park with two new store signings
Peel Retail Parks has signed two new deals at Straiton Retail Park in Scotland with sofa specialists, Fabb Sofas and ScS Sofas, Following the successful opening of the new flagship Next store
New furniture chain Fabb Sofas, launched by DFS founder Lord Kirkham, is opening one of its first UK stores at Straiton. The company has signed a 10-year lease for a 20,000-sq.ft unit, and popular sofa chain ScS has signed a new 10-year lease at Straiton for a 7,588-sqft unit.
These deals follow the recent openings of Tapi Carpets & Floors, Outfit, Next and Nandos, further enhancing the retail offerings and mix at Straiton retail park.
Mark Whittaker, group property director at Peel Land and Property, said: ďPeel Retail Parks has been investing significant capital sums into Straiton retail park over the last few years and itís great to see it becoming such a strong success story.
Across its portfolio, Peel Retail Parks signed 12 new stores in 2016, totalling 136,221 sq ft, including two flagship Next stores, an M&S Foodhall, plus a number of Icelandís new format Food Warehouse stores.
