Consent granted for creation of new district centre

Botley Development Company – a joint venture between Mace Developments and Doric Properties – has gained planning consent for the redevelopment of the West Way shopping centre in West Oxford.

The new scheme, a mile West of Oxford City Centre, will become known as Westway Place and will be the new district centre for the area. Westway Place will include a foodstore, a 123-bed Premier Inn, 55,000 sq ft of retail and restaurants, 261 student units, 140 new homes together with a new library, community hall and church.

Construction will start in January 2017.
