Hammerson appoints head of development leasing
Hammerson has appointed John Grimes as head of development leasing. He will major on the company’s London retail schemes, Brent Cross and Croydon.
With more than 20 years of development leasing experience, Grimes joins the Hammerson team from Land Securities having been instrumental in delivering retail destinations including Bullring, Birmingham, Whitefriars, Canterbury, Princesshay, Exeter and more recently at Trinity Leeds. He has also worked on major mixed use London schemes such as Cardinal Place in Victoria, Bankside on the South Bank and One New Change in the City.
Iain Mitchell, UK commercial director at Hammerson, said: “John is someone we have known for many years and worked alongside him on Bullring. He has extensive long-standing relationships with key retailers and his energetic and enthusiastic approach to development leasing makes him the ideal person to join our team as we intensify our retailer discussions on both Brent Cross and Croydon.”
