Fashion brand and Hotel Chocolat find new homes at Queensgate

Lendlease and Invesco Real Estate has announced that H&M, the international fashion brand, is to open a 35,000-sq ft regional flagship as the brand upsizes at Queensgate, Peterborough. The new store, situated on the West Mall opposite to John Lewis on the upper level, will open on 28 July 2016. H&M’s upsize incorporate an additional 3,000 sq ft of space, an increase of ten percent compared to the current store

The news follows the announcement that Hotel Chocolat, the British chocolatier and cocoa grower, is to open a 1,400-sq ft store in Queensgate in August 2016. It will be located the centre’s east mall, opposite Pandora and The Perfume Shop.

Commenting on the new signing and upsize, Guy Thomas, head of retail asset management at Lendlease, said: “We are pleased to welcome Hotel Chocolat to the retail line up, while the upsizing of H&M will deliver an improved regional flagship store offering a full range for the benefit of our customers.”

Peter Harris, co-founder of Hotel Chocolat, added: “We are delighted to extend our presence amongst the impressive retail line-up at Queensgate. The continually strong performance of this regional destination, coupled with continued investment in the centre, made this the ideal location for our next store.”
