Frizzenti appoint Prime Retail to help target shopping centres

Following its debut in Birmingham last autumn, wine brand Frizzenti has appointed Prime Retail to roll out its FIZZ! Bar format in the UK’s top shopping centres, seeking 10 new outlets over the next two years. The first FIZZ! Bar opened last September at Grand Central’s retail scheme above Birmingham New Street Station. It offers Prosecco, as well as a range of sparkling and still wines on tap, cocktails, Italian tapas, high-quality coffee and pastries.

Designed to meet the demand for wine by the glass from shoppers and passengers alike, the concept has been warmly received. It was named one of the city’s best bars by the Birmingham Mail and has consistently outperformed the food and drink category at Grand Central to become a top sales generator at the scheme.

Prime Retail is now talking to some of the UK’s biggest shopping centre landlords about hosting a FIZZ! Bar. It is seeking sales areas of 500-800 sq ft and will consider island locations within top malls, travel interchanges, leisure centres and store-in-store sites.

Frizzenti co-owner Daniel Spinath says: “Since launching the Frizzenti brand, we have grown rapidly and now supply over 300 UK outlets, as well as many high-profile sporting and musical events. We are all about providing a moment or two of affordable luxury.”

Frizzenti’s FIZZ! Bar offers a pricing ranging from £5.75 for a glass of fizz to £7.50 for an expertly made cocktail.
