Spanish fashion brand poised for growth after new capital injection
Spanish Fashion chain El Ganso intends to open at least 10 stores in the UK over the next few years following the sale of a 49 per cent stake in the firm to LVMH backed investment fund L Capital.
El Ganso, which originated in 2004 and sells men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, has 90 stores in Spain and 10 internationally, including four in London. It expects 2015 revenues to top €70m.
El Ganso opened its first UK store at London’s Carnaby Street in 2012, and subsequently opened stores on the Kings Road and in Covent Garden. In July 2015 it signed a 10-year lease on a 1,036-sq ft store at Westfield London. The unit is located on the ground floor, close to All Saints and Jack & Jones.
