A competition offering local entrepreneurs the chance to win a start-up package worth £10,000 has been launched at Pentagon shopping centre.
Space to Trade have teamed up with Pentagon shopping centre, Ellandi, Medway Council and Chatham Centre Forum to give a business person the chance to win six months’ rent free trading at Pentagon.
The prize includes rent, mentoring to get the winner up and running and marketing support for a mall retail unit in a prime location in the centre, which attracts around 200,000 people a week.
Pentagon’s centre director Martyn Stone said: “We’re looking to encourage new business in Medway and we’re calling on all local entrepreneurs to enter. This is a first for the Pentagon and we hope to attract a wide range of businesses. We’re all very excited about the competition and look forward to seeing the entries come in.”
Entrepreneurs must write in 500 words or less why they deserve to win in order to enter. A panel of judges will then whittle down the entries and choose a winner.
