Deepdale shopping park fully let with the arrival of Wilko
Hercules Unit Trust and LaSalle Investment Management have signed Wilko, the high-street homeware and household goods retailer, for a 10,400-sq ft store on a 10-year lease at the Deepdale shopping park in Preston. The park is now fully let.
A £16m extension at the 280,000 sq ft centre completed last year delivering an additional 45,000 sq ft of retail space which was 100 per cent pre-let to Wren Living, Sofaworks, Harveys and Oak Furniture Land. Existing tenants included M&S, Boots, Next, Outfit, New Look and River Island
James Varley, asset manager for British Land, said: “Wilko is a great addition to Deepdale and joins a host of well-known stores, strengthening and complementing the wide-ranging and high quality offer already in place. This letting demonstrates our commitment to enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers by continually evolving and upgrading the mix.”
HUT is advised by British Land and managed by Schroders. Wilkinson Williams and Harvey Spack Field were letting agents.
