Toolbox Groupís Social Media Index for April takes a closer look at the East Midlands region

April was a quieter month for most on social media asa lack of national events or holidays to help with engagement led to the national average being well down on the previous two months, however, some centres were able to buck the trend.

The top performing centre in the East Midlands this in April was the Hildreds Centre in Skegness, they achieved an average engagement throughout the month of 27.17 per cent which is great compared to the average of just 5.97 per cent. The Hildreds Centreís use of social media this month has been a great example of an integrated marketing strategy utilizing it well to create awareness of in centre events. Their most engaging posts were announcing the arrival of a new store as well as posts about an upcoming in centre marketing event.

The Hildreds Centre have really got it right when it comes to using social media as part of the overall marketing strategy. By using good images in the build up to the shop opening and the events that were taken in the centre rather than just generic artwork the posts received plenty of likes and shares which will convert into good centre footfall on the day of the event.

Throughout April the most popular time of the week to post was Tuesdays between 8am and 12pm, however the most engaging time was between 12pm-4pm on a Saturday.
