Kingfisher launches click & collect

Kingfisher shopping centre in Redditch has partnered with CollectPlus to trial its click & collect service.

The centre is one of the first community shopping centres in the UK to trial CollectPlus. When browsing online, shoppers can select the centre as their chosen CollectPlus delivery location and pick up their purchases at a time that is suitable for them. Customers will be able to choose from over 260 brands – including ASOS, Amazon and John Lewis - and can also return items bought online by dropping them off at the centre’s customer service desk.

Kingfisher shopping centre general manager, Ken Williams, said: “We are really excited to be offering this new service as it is completely in-line with our goal to continue meeting our customers’ needs. The shopping centre is benefiting from a great deal of investment at the moment and by providing our shoppers with access to Collectplus we are improving the experience our customers have when they visit us.”

Neil Ashworth, CEO of CollectPlus, added: “The way people prefer to ‘click and collect’ is evolving from pick-up points being primarily where people live, to include locations where they socialise, travel and gather. Our store network is made up of over 5,500 locations and it is our aim to grow this significantly. For this reason, we are delighted to establish our relationship with the Kingfisher shopping centre, as it will allow us to expand our reach to a community shopping centre that is well located, and has a strong and loyal customer base.”
