CBRE has been appointed to manage Middleton shopping centre, near Manchester, taking its total UK shopping centre portfolio to over 50.
CBRE’s remit is to provide day to day property management to the 330,000 sq ft centre, which originally opened in 1971 as an Arndale Centre. It has three floors of retail space and offices – anchored by Boots, Wilkinsons, NHS and Superdrug - and a 430 space car park
Nick Pyman, associate, retail management at CBRE said: “This is a valuable property management instruction for us and we are naturally delighted to be adding a further centre to our UK portfolio. Middleton shopping centre is fund managed by Ellandi, whom we already manage properties on behalf of, so we look forward to further strengthening our relationship with them on this mandate.”
Middleton adds to CBRE’s existing UK shopping centre portfolio which covers over 1.5m sq ft in total and includes the recent appointment by Development Securities to manage The Furlong shopping centre in Ringwood near Southampton, Swanley shopping centre in Kent, the Kingsland shopping centre in Thatcham and Atlantic Village in Bideford, Devon.
