Crystal Peaks up social media presence

Crystal Peaks shopping mall in Sheffield has launched a new service designed to engage with customers through its social media channels. 

The launch of the award-winning Mall-to-Mobile service will see each retailer in the centre feature every month on social media, sharing news, offers and events with current and potential shoppers.

Crystal Peaks centre manager, Lee Greenwood, said: “We are very excited about this new service. Our shoppers spend an increasing amount of time online and we wanted to make sure we were able to take advantage of the opportunity to engage with them about their experience of the centre and retail needs. The service will run seven days-a-week, twenty-four hours-a-day so our social conversations won’t be restricted to traditional office hours.”

Simon Baldwin from Destination CMS, the digital marketing specialists behind the project, added: “Crystal Peaks is a fantastic retail and leisure destination that has so much to share with its shoppers. Mall-to-Mobile will ensure that the full spectrum of their varied retail offer is featured on social media. The centre has a dedicated ‘Brand Maker’ who will visit every store to capture content, including photographing new products, sale items and anything else that catches their eye. This content is then sent out to our team to disseminate for shoppers on social media.”

Mall-to-Mobile has been rolled out in a number of other destinations across the UK where it has seen positive effects on footfall, dwell time and loyalty, as well as enhanced engagement.
