March has seen a succession of bookings by local car dealerships and other local service providers including photographers and solicitors. Electronics brands continue to book multi date road shows within brand experience and food and drink brands have started booking sampling campaigns throughout the second quarter of 2013. Retail has also seen an increase in the number of bookings by food retailers with a definite trend in Mediterranean style cuisine.
March 2013 - Top 5 Brand Experience Activities
Sony – The electronics giant displayed the new Xperia Z handset in intu Metrocentre and the recently opened Trinity Leeds. Sony brand ambassadors demonstrated the capabilities of the new phone to shoppers and highlighted its waterproof features by dunking it in a tank of water. Consumers could also win prizes by dunking a water-reveal card in the tank.
Golden Wonder – Crisp brand Golden Wonder took to Glasgow’s Queen Street Station in an effort to recruit commuters to the “It’s Crunch Time” campaign. Two costumed crisp packets entertained commuters while Golden Wonder representatives encouraged people to sign the petition and distributed packets of Salt and Vinegar and Cheese and Onion crisps.
Blackberry – Handset manufacturer Blackberry toured UK shopping centres including Cabot Circus and intu Metrocentre to promote its new operating system and the new Z10 model. Blackberry representatives were on site to provide demonstrations and information to interested parties and run competitions throughout the promotion.
Cadbury – Much loved confectionary brand Cadbury took to intu Braehead and Meadowhall shopping centres to remind shoppers why they love Dairy Milk chocolate and to find the next Joyville Taster. Shoppers were offered free samples, encouraged to vote online and entertained by Cadbury’s characters popping out of the billboard on site.
Galaxy – Brand ambassador’s targeted female shoppers in Cabot Circus, intu Lakeside and White Rose throughout March, offering free sample bars of Galaxy chocolate and encouraging interaction with the brand’s Facebook page.
