New brands announced to mark two year countdown to launch of Westgate Oxford

The Westgate Oxford Alliance is marking a two year countdown to the opening of its £440m Westgate Oxford development confirming deals with River Island and Sticks’n’Sushi which will be the first restaurant for the development. The new 800,000-sq ft shopping and leisure destination in the heart of Oxford city centre is due to open in October 2017 in time for Christmas.

Westgate Oxford will transform the west end of Oxford with over 100 new stores, 25 restaurants and cafes, a boutique cinema, roof top terrace dining and a wealth of new public spaces.

Brands that have already confirmed leasing commitments at Westgate Oxford include a 140,000-sq ft John Lewis department store, boutique cinema chain Curzon Cinemas, H&M, Michael Kors, Superdry, Primark, Next, Schuh and Goldsmiths.

With just two years to go before Westgate Oxford opens, the centre is already over 31 per cent pre-let.
