Thecentre:mk signs Cath Kidston after pop-up success

Published:  30 July, 2014

Cath Kidston will open a 2,570 sq ft store at Centre:mk this autumn.

The news follows Cath Kidston’s pop-up kiosk at the centre, which traded successfully last Christmas. The permanent store is on Silbury Arcade adjacent to House of Fraser, Kurt Geiger and the recently announced White Company flagship.

Established in 1993, the brand has more than 60 UK locations, as well as stores abroad in over 12 countries across Europe and Asia stocking a wide range of homeware, accessories, women’s fashion, and Cath Kids products.

Speaking on behalf of Centre:mk's joint owners, Hermes Real Estate and AustralianSuper, Ed Sellick, asset manager at Hermes Real Estate, said: “We are thrilled Cath Kidston is returning to Centre:mk with a permanent store. The brand is highly successful, has a great heritage and perfectly matches Centre:mk’s visitor and catchment profile. Furthermore, Cath Kidston is further evidence of the growing number of leading brands that are selecting Centre:mk for regionally dominant stores.”

CBRE and MMX Retail acted for Centre:mk. CBRE advised Cath Kidston.
